🎈 What to Expect at Seattle Ballooning’s Hot Air Balloon Spectacular (ITS FREE)
On Sunday, June 22nd 2025 at dusk (Weather Permitting), something magical is happening for the first time in downtown Seattle history:
100-ft tall hot air balloons will glow beneath the Space Needle—and you’re invited to witness it.
Seattle Ballooning, in partnership with Seattle Center, is hosting the Hot Air Balloon Spectacular—a free, one-hour event at the Seattle Center right in front of the International Fountain, and it promises to be the most glow-worthy experience of the summer. 🌟 So… what exactly is a balloon glow?
A balloon glow is a breathtaking sight where hot air balloons are inflated and remain tethered to the ground. As the burners fire, the entire balloon envelopes light up like giant lanterns, pulsing with heat and color against the night sky.
