Hot air balloons, carnival rides, and night glows galore. This morning at 5:30 am, the Tigard Hot Air Balloon Festival officially launched. Due to the weather, free balloon flight was not possible. However, we had a few pilots stand up their hot air balloons for spectators and the media. The weather looks great for Saturday and Sunday.
If you are looking for a fun family activity, a unique date, or you are obsessed with aeronautics, you should consider coming to an early morning launch or a balloon glow at sunset (approximately 8:00 pm – 9:00pm). Here is a link to the offical schedule.
If you are not in the Portland area, you can still take part in the festival by joining our facebook live stream of the balloon glow this evening at sunset. Tomorrow morning at 5:45 am we will stream our inflation and part of our hot air balloon flight. We look forward to having you join us on our hot air balloon adventures this weekend.
