How long does the flight last?

The total experience lasts 2.5 hours from pickup to dropoff. Flight time varies depending on location, wind direction, and speed but we aim for 60 minutes of total balloon ride flight time.

Where do you meet for a shared sunset hot air balloon ride?

We meet passengers at the Muckleshoot casino for pickup and drop-off. Check-in begins 15 minutes before your scheduled flight time. Passengers will be transported to the launch site and back to the casino after landing.

Can I bring my kids along for a sunset hot air balloon ride?

Yes, but we do have age restrictions. Anyone between the ages of 8-98 can take a sunset hot air balloon ride with us. We do not take any pregnant passengers on any of our flights.

What should I wear on a sunset hot air balloon ride?

We recommend you wear comfortable clothing with close-toed shoes. The temperature in the balloon will be roughly 10-15 degrees hotter beneath the burner so you likely will not need a jacket. You can leave your jacket in the chase van and it will be there for when you land.

What happens in bad weather?

Hot air ballooning is a weather-dependent activity since we use the wind to steer. It is not possible to fly when the winds are too fast or going in a poor direction. In addition to the wind, other weather conditions such as rain and snow we do not fly in. If your flight is canceled you can either reschedule or receive a full refund.

Do sunset flights get canceled more often?

Yes. Sunset hot air balloon flights tend to be canceled more often as wind speeds pick up in the evening and directions become more variable. The pilot will decide based on weather the flight will be canceled.
